Advice
Fitting & Installation
This laminate flooring features a click-lock system for floating installation—no glue required. Simply roll out a suitable underlay over a smooth, clean, dry, and level subfloor, then fit the planks together. Leave the recommended expansion gap around the room perimeter to allow for natural movement. For the best finish, especially in busy or high-traffic areas, professional installation is advised.

FAQs
Check the warranty of the product to see the manufacturer’s guaranteed lifespan—warranties typically range from 10 to 25 years. With good aftercare, you can expect your laminate to last at least as long as the warranty period indicates.
Most DIYers manage a click-lock (floating) install as a weekend project—but precise cuts, tight joins and neat trim often benefit from a professional, especially in large or irregular rooms. If you're local to Merseyside, request a quote here and we’ll be happy to help.
Yes—if you’re installing over electric or water-based UFH, make sure the laminate and underlay are rated for it. Check the manufacturer’s max surface-temperature spec (usually around 27 °C).
Standard laminate is splash-resistant but not waterproof. It handles occasional spills fine, but not standing water. If you want bathroom use, choose a fully waterproof “hydro-shield” product and seal all edges.
We recommend a SAF-standard white foam roll underlay or fibreboard underlay. Both provide cushioning, sound reduction and a moisture barrier for your laminate. If you’re installing over underfloor heating, get in touch so we can supply the correct UFH-compatible underlay.
Your subfloor must be completely clean, dry, level and flat before you start. Any dips, bumps or moisture issues should be addressed first to ensure a stable, long-lasting installation.
Daily/weekly: Dry-sweep or vacuum (no beater bar).
Spills: Wipe up immediately with a barely-damp cloth.
Deep clean: Use a spray-on laminate cleaner and a microfibre mop—never flood the floor or use a steam mop.
Residential laminate typically comes in 7–12 mm thickness. Thicker boards feel more solid underfoot and can bridge minor subfloor imperfections, but cost a bit more. Balance budget vs. performance.
We don’t accept returns on unused packs, so we always recommend ordering carefully. However, keeping a few extra packs is a good idea in case you ever need to make repairs or replace damaged boards in future.
